In order to prepare our pupils for this, our next topic will be an author study. This will give the children in Kite and Eagle class, the opportunity to become familiar with another children’s author and to complete some exciting reading and writing activities. Our chosen author this year is Frank Cottrell Boyce, and we will be focusing on the texts: ‘Cosmic’ and ‘Millions’. Last year, all of our children enjoyed our Louis Sacher author study.
After the Plas Pencelli residential, rather than setting a home learning project, we will be setting a weekly piece of homework and will send an activity pack for during the Easter holidays. Other than this, supporting your child with their daily reading, spellings and maths target work will really help them to be well prepared to do their best!
