Stepping Stones Pre-School at Northbourne provides quality care and Foundation Stage education for children from 2 years 6 months to 5 years old.
Stepping Stones has a Christian ethos, which is caring and welcoming to all families. We work closely with parents to help provide the best quality of care for all the children.
We have a classroom within the school and join with the Foundation Classes for some activities and events which enables us to provide our children with a continuity of care and education and benefits those who go on to start their education at Northbourne school.
We have a comprehensive range of policies to ensure children are cared for in the best and safest environment. We share the Foundation Stage garden space and we are well equipped with a good range of outdoor toys and equipment. Where possible we have an open door policy between the classroom and the outside area.
We are registered for 27 children with the younger children attending in the afternoon sessions. In 2008 we were Ofsted inspected along with the Foundation classes and received a judgement of outstanding.
We have a happy, dedicated staff team. Our morning children are split into small groups and each group has a staff member as their Key worker. Our Key workers are all qualified to NVQ Childcare and Education level 3.

Monday Wednesday & Thursday
12.20 p.m. – 2.50 p.m.
Lunch club:
Tuesday 11.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.
Friday 11.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.
