Teaching Assistant

Full-time (28 ¾ hours a week), permanent, term time only
Needed as soon as possible; start date flexible
Salary Details: Grade 4/11 FTE: £15,807 (Actual Salary: £10,427)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and positive teaching assistant to join our talented team of support staff.  In the first instance, this post involves working in one of our two Reception classes, working with groups and individuals within the classroom, and leading interventions.

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who has:

  • A passion for nurturing excellence, ensuring all children become motivated and successful learners
  • A positive, resilient and caring approach to supporting children with a range of needs
  • The ability to work flexibly and as part of a team, building relationships with children, staff and parents
  • Excellent communication skills

We can offer:

  • Friendly and enthusiastic children who want to learn
  • An inclusive, happy school with a clear vision for our continued improvement
  • Talented and supportive staff who are committed to working collaboratively
  • High expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour

This post would suit a candidate looking to start their career as a Teaching Assistant, a more experienced TA looking for a new challenge, or a candidate considering training as a teacher in the near future.  We would strongly consider sponsoring the right candidate as a salaried Teach Direct student as soon as places for this training became available, or to fit in with their own timescales.

Visits to the school or informal discussion about the post would be very welcome. Please telephone our School Secretary, Helen Cliff, for an appointment or more details.

Interview Date:  1st March 2018
